About Stanfordville Baptist Church
Stanfordville Baptist Church is a friendly country church with caring people. Our goal is to glorify the Lord.
We attempt to do that by:
1- Exalting Jesus Christ
John 12:32 “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth will draw all men unto Me.”
Philippians 2:9-11 “Wherefore God also hath exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven,and things in earth, and things under the earth; And every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.”
2- Preaching the Word of God
I Corinthians 1:18 “For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God”
3- Reaching the lost
Mark 16:15 “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
4- Edifying believers
Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works:” With the trend that many churches have taken toward entertainment in “worship” services, we would like you to know that Stanfordville Baptist Church believes that church is about God.
Our emphasis is on “proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.” Ephesians 5:10
Worship is not an emotional release of man. Worship is humbling ourselves before a worthy God.
We believe that the usage of sensual music is wrong.
We are not perfect people, but we serve a perfect God. We desire to please the Lord. If this is the kind of church for which you are looking, please call or attend the next available service.
