Our Beliefs

  1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, as verbally inspired by God and inerrant in the original writings, and that they are the supreme and final authority in faith and life. (II Timothy 3:16, II Peter 1:2)
  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three co equal persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19, II Corinthians 13:3)
  3. We believe that man was created in the image of God; that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death but al so spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature. We further believe that those who reach moral responsibility become sinners in thought, word, and deed. (Genesis 3:1-19,
    Romans 5:12, Romans 3:1-12)
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ was begotten by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, and is true God and true man. (Isaiah 9:6, Matthew 1:18-25)
  5. We believe that the LORD Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures, as a representative and substit utionary sacrifice, and that all who believe in Him as Savior are justified on the grounds of His shed blood. (I Corinthians 15:3-4; Romans 5:8; II Corinthians 5:21; Hebrews 9:14)
  6. We believe in the physical resurrection of the crucified body of our LORD, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as High Priest and Advocate. (Luke 24:36-43, Acts 1:9-11, Hebrews 4:14-15)
  7. We believe in “ that blessed hope,” the personal, premillenial, and imminent return ofour LORD and Savior Jesus Christ. (I Thessalonians 4:13 18, II Thessalonians 2:1-12)
  8. We believe that all who receive by faith the LORD Jesus Christ as Savior are born again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become the children of God. (John 3:5, John 1:12-13, I John 5:11-13)
  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just and the unjust, the everlasting blessedness of the saved, and the everlasting punishment of the lost. (I Thessalonians 4:13 18, Revelation 20 :12-15, Luke 16:19-31, II Corinthians 5:8, Philippians 1:23)
  10. We believe in the third person of the Trinity, the Holy Spirit, as existing equally with the Father and the Son. He is a person. (Hebrews 9:14, John 15:11)
  11. Church Ordinances:
    1. Baptism :
We believe that Christian baptism is the believer’s immersion in water, symbolizing the death, burial, and resurrection of our LORD and demonstrating the believer’s death to sin and commitment to a new life. (Romans 6:3-6)
    2. The Lord’s Supper :
We believe that the Lor d’s Supper is a memorial of the death of the LORD Jesus Christ, whereupon the believer solemnly examines himself for worthiness. (I Corinthians 11:22-32)
